Casey Affleck Sued for Sexual Harassment: Again

A week after a female producer who worked with Casey Affleck on the documentary he made of brother-in-law Joaquin Phoenix's "decision" to become a rapper sued him for sexual harassment, another female staffer (this time the cinematographer) has sued Casey and his production company, also alleging sexual harassment, E! News reports.
Magdalena Gorka, who was mentioned in the lawsuit filed by Amanda White last week, alleges that Affleck and other members of the crew instantly made her feel "uncomfortable" on the set by making lewd comments, talking about having sex with Gorka and suggesting she sleep with the camera assistant.
In mid-December 2008, her suit states, the crew stayed overnight at Phoenix and Affleck's New York apartment while in town shooting scenes for I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix.
Because she was the only woman there at the time, Gorka says, Affleck told her she could sleep in his bedroom and he'd take the couch. She says that she woke up up in the middle of the night to find Affleck, wearing underwear and a t-shirt, curled up next to her.
His breath "reeked of alcohol," she claims.
According to the lawsuit, when she told him to get out of bed, Affleck asked, "Why?" and she replied, "Because you are married and because you are my boss."
Gorka quit after this incident, she says, but agreed to return to the film after White joined the crew and she figured having another woman around would help.

Justin Bieber Fans Cry, Collide During L.A. Tour Stop

'We're all running into each other, bumping each other in the head on accident,' one fan tells MTV News at the Nokia Theatre.By MTV News staff

A gaggle of Justin Bieber fans descended on the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday night to see their pop idol in concert. It was the latest stop on the Biebs' My World Tour, which kicked off earlier this summer in Hartford, Connecticut. And judging by the response after the show, Bieber definitely delivered.

One L.A. fan described the concert experience as "the best day of my life," and that seemed to be the general consensus from the crowd.
"It was amazing," a tween fan raved to MTV News once the show ended. "I've been to, like, every Justin Bieber show in Los Angeles and this was probably my favorite."
Yet another fan revealed that the vibe inside the Nokia was so intense that fans kept bumping into one another.
"We were so excited we could barely stand next to each other," she said. "We're all bumping into each other. We're all running into each other, bumping each other in the head on accident. It's everything [that makes me love him]. You know he has that perfect hair. He has that little hair swoop."
A teen Bieber fan had a confession: "I thought I would never cry. I cried on this concert." It seems Justin's performing the ballad "Down to Earth" inspired serious tears. In fact, the song has become something of a fan favorite on the My World Tour, with one admirer saying she loved "when he got up and he was floating on the heart. It was really hot."
By the end of the concert, though, it was clear that many fans couldn't pin down exactly what it was about Bieber that had made them swoon most.
"His smile. His hair — the way he flips it. His eyes. The way he sings, the way he dances," one fan gushed. "He's captivating. He's a performer. He's all of the world."
Will you buy tickets to see Bieber in concert this summer? Tell us in the comments!

'Scream 4' Stars Rory Culkin, Nico Tortorella On Working With Original 'Scream' Cast

Plus, Tortorella reveals onscreen romance with Emma Roberts' 'Scream 4' character.By Jocelyn Vena

Rory Culkin

Photo: MTV News

It almost seems like when they were casting "Scream 4," they stole from the credits for the Joel Schumacher-directed gritty drug drama "Twelve." Three of the film's castmates, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin and Nico Tortorella, will all have roles in the upcoming sequel in the "Scream" franchise. While Roberts couldn't make it to the premiere due to her "Scream 4" shooting schedule, MTV News did get some dish from Culkin and Tortorella.

"We're still shooting it. Not really allowed to talk about it. I signed a contract, seriously. I can't say anything and I'd hate to get sued," Culkin told MTV News at the New York City premiere of "Twelve." "I better keep quiet on this!"
"I was [a fan of the original]. I was the ghost-faced killer for Halloween in the third or fourth grade," he added. "Am I the killer this time around? ... I am under contract."
While Culkin decided to keep mum, his "Twelve" and "Scream 4" co-star dished a bit more, revealing that he and Roberts may get busy. "My name is Trevor, and Emma and I have a love interest throughout the whole movie, and I can't really give you too much more," Tortorella said, adding that being on-set with some of the original cast is very exciting. "I can't give you any information past that."
"Yeah, Courteney's there, Neve's there, David's there. You know, it's really like walking into a family, and they're just all accepting us with mad open arms," he explained. "They're all incredible people. It's been quite the trip. I had never seen the originals until after I auditioned for the first time. ... After watching them all, yeah, it's one of its own."
Other key players in the star-studded cast include Hayden Panettiere, who recently shared some details about the movie, Adam Brody, Anthony Anderson and Marley Shelton.
"Scream 4" is scheduled to open April 15, 2011.

Just one day after the premiere of the drama-filled second-season premiere of "Jersey Shore," one of the show's biggest stars, Snooki, was arrested in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, where the show is currently filming, MTV News confirmed.
Police officials confirmed to MTV News that Snooki, whose given name is Nicole Polizzi, was in police custody at press time. No further details regarding the arrest or why she was arrested were available, but TMZ reports that she was arrested for disorderly conduct.

The gossip website further reports that Snooki was seen near the beach at Seaside drinking what was believed to be Coca-Cola from a beer funnel. Additionally, she was earlier spotted doing shots at a local bar. A rep for MTV had no comment on the matter.
In photos reportedly taken around the time of the arrest, Snooki is seen walking on the boardwalk along with her pals Vinny and Ronnie from the show. Snooki is dressed in a hot-pink tiger-print T-shirt that says "I Heart Snooki," a baseball cap, sunglasses, a miniskirt and hot green slippers. She was photographed being approached by officers and handcuffed, with co-star and friend JWoww by her side. It is unclear from photos what incident prompted the arrest.

Leonardo DiCaprio Pulls Out of Mel Gibson Viking Movie

'Not a chance,' a source close to DiCaprio reportedly says. By Gil Kaufman

Leonardo DiCaprio

Photo: Sean Gallup/GettyImages

As the controversy over Mel Gibson's rage-fueled rant tapes and domestic violence probe continue to unfold, the site that has leaked those shocking recordings, RadarOnline.com reported that one of the "Lethal Weapon" actor's upcoming projects has lost its leading man.
"Inception" star Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly withdrawn from a planned movie chronicling the exploits of Viking warriors that Gibson was slated to direct. "Not a chance," said an unnamed source close to DiCaprio.
The site claimed that the latest setback to Gibson's once-blockbuster Hollywood career — he was dropped by his longtime talent agency in the wake of the tape scandal — is another signal that the actor/director may have difficulty bouncing back from his latest scandal and regain his once high-flying star status.
The Viking film would have been DiCaprio's first project with Gibson, but the unnamed source said that the meticulous actor — who has avoided a major public scandal during his nearly 20-year long career in movies — did not want to risk his reputation by being associated with Gibson.
"Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with, and Mel Gibson is not one of them," the source reportedly said. A spokesperson for DiCaprio could not be reached for comment at press time. The untitled Viking movie was being co-produced by Gibson's Icon Productions and was slated to begin shooting in the fall.
DiCaprio recently spoke to MTV News about his desire to make a Viking epic with Gibson saying, "I've always wanted to do Viking Story. I'm a big history buff and I don't think there's been a really fantastic Viking film ever made. Those were some of the most barbaric people ever in history. I'd love to see Mel Gibson's version of that. Certainly with 'Apocalypto' and some of the other films he's made he's been able to transport me back in time unlike very many filmmakers have been able to ... I'd love to see what he does with that subject matter."
In addition to the embarrassment over the racist, sexist and violent language on the tapes, Gibson is being investigated for alleged domestic violence and child endangerment over claims that he struck ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva while she was holding the couple's then two-month old baby. Detectives from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department are also looking into claims that Grigorieva attempted to extort money from Gibson by threatening to release the tapes.
Gibson's spokesperson could not be reached for comment on the DiCaprio news; the spokesperson also has not denied that the breathless, rage-fueled voice on the tapes is Gibson.
The meltdown of Gibson's personal life has had a major impact on his public one as well, putting his upcoming projects into limbo. Among the movies currently in a holding pattern is the Jodie Foster-directed "The Beaver," a $20 million PG-13 dramedy in which Gibson plays a depressed CEO who can only communicate with his family through a beaver hand puppet. According to E! Online, the film just recently got a rating from the MPAA, but the studio behind it has not yet decided on a release date.
Also unknown is the fate of "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," which his still in production and features Gibson portraying a career criminal who survives in a Mexican prison thanks to the help of a young boy. Gibson is credited as the script author and producer on "Summer," which reportedly began filming in April, but has not gotten a release date yet.
Do you think Gibson's career can survive this scandal? Would you go see a new movie from Mel? Leave your comments below.

Jay-Z Talks Married Life, Def Jam Presidency In Rolling Stone

He also opens up about his love for indie rock and his one visit to a therapist.By Jayson Rodriguez

Jay-Z on the cover of "Rolling Stone"

Photo: Wenner Media

Jay-Z is a rapper, a businessman and a husband. We've seen him tear up stages as an MC, and his deals have made headlines — but as Mr. Beyoncé, we know very little.
In the new issue of Rolling Stone, however, the iconic hip-hop star lets his guard down a bit as he relays a story about a piece of art he attempted to purchase. Jay wanted to buy a black-and-white Laurie Simmons photograph that depicted a "lit pistol with a pair of women's legs emerging from the handle."
Beyoncé vetoed the piece. Instead, the singer sought out a similar one, only with the women's legs emerging from a perfume bottle.
Elsewhere in the interview, Jay-Z discusses his affinity for indie rock, his one visit to see a therapist and his days as the president of Def Jam Records. "All of them," Jay answered when asked which meetings were the most frustrating during his tenure as a label head.
In the past, the rapper has spoken out about his interest in indie acts like Grizzly Bear, who he hopes will push hip-hop to be more challenging with their own creativity.
"The thing I want to say to everyone — I hope this happens, because it will push rap, it will push hip-hop to go even further — what the indie-rock movement is doing right now is very inspiring," he told MTV News last year. "It felt like us in the beginning. These concerts, they're not on the radio, no one hears about them, and there's 12,000 people in attendance. And the music that they're making and the connection they're making to people is really inspiring. So I hope that they have a run where they push hip-hop back a little bit, so it will force hip-hop to fight to make better music, because it can happen, because that's what rap did to rock."
The Rolling Stone cover features Jay-Z in a black leather jacket and dark, black sunglasses. The cover is a "peel-off" edition that reveals another image of the rapper underneath, donning a black tuxedo jacket and black framed glasses.
The issue is expected to arrive on newsstands this week.
Are you excited to read Jay-Z's story in the new Rolling Stone? Let us know in the comments!

Usher Gets Steamy In 'There Goes My Baby' Video

R&B heartthrob goes shirtless in sexy new clip released online Tuesday.By Jayson Rodriguez

Usher's "There Goes My Baby"

Photo: LaFace/ Jive

Usher has taken on critics who say he's lost his swagger. And with a new video for his single "There Goes My Baby," the singer continues to push back at detractors who dare to suggest he's slipped.
His last single, the Will.I.Am-produced "OMG," is still riding high on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, currently resting comfortably in the #3 slot.
And now, he's pushing his next number with a video for the slow-burning ballad "There Goes My Baby." Released on Tuesday (July 13), the clip features Usher and his leading lady trading sweaty moves under a desert sun.
In the opening scene, Usher has his back to the camera as the sun rises just over his right shoulder. The R&B crooner, sporting a black tank top and dark jeans, slowly pulls his love interest closer toward him in the next scene, and then ditches his tee as he sings to her.
"There goes my baby," he sings on the chorus. "Loving everything you do/ Ooh girl, look at you." As the song's climax begins, the pair unite once again and exchange kisses as the sun fades.
"There Goes My Baby" is the latest from Usher's Raymond v. Raymond, which the singer recently announced would be made available in two separate extended editions next month. Versus will feature eight new songs, including "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love," a Pitbull-assisted number that premiered on the singer's website earlier this month. Usher will also release Raymond v. Raymond (The Deluxe Edition). That edition of the album will include tracks from Versus, as well as material from the original version of Raymond v. Raymond that had initially leaked online prior to his album's official release and wasn't included on the retail set.

A smiling Britney Spears appears on the cover of the August issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, which hits newsstands on July 13. In the issue, Spears, who is currently working on new music, opens up about her life in the spotlight and her sons.
"If my sons [Sean and Jayden] told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I'd lock them in their rooms until they turned 30," Spears, who kicked off her career as a child star on the "Mickey Mouse Club," admitted about the prospect of her sons entering the family business.
As for how she spends her days now, the singer said that she's just busy being a mom to her two young sons. "Things are pretty quiet right now. I've been spending a lot of time at home with my boys," she said. "They just started karate class, which is super cute!"
And while things are quiet now, she says that when the time comes, she doesn't want to have to talk to Jayden and Sean about the birds and the bees. "I'm dreading the moment when my sons ask me how babies are made," she said.
Spears, who recently released her own clothing collection for Candie's, adds that there's one aspect of her career that she always knew was inevitable: the constant paparazzi presence in her life. "[It's] something I always knew would come with the job I chose," she explained.
The singer tweeted about the cover, saying, "I'm on the cover of Cosmo's August issue. So excited! What do you all think?"

MTV TJ Finalist Jose Iniguez Is Living Out His 'Pop' Life

From small-town boy to big-city dreams, the onetime 'TRL' fan makes it to the top five in MTV's Twitter Jockey Search.By Fernanda Diaz

Jose Iniguez

Photo: MTV

Jose Iniguez comes from a town where there are more cows than people. For a big chunk of his childhood, his hometown didn't even have a movie theater. Now he's one of the five finalists competing for a chance to become MTV's first-ever Twitter Jockey.
Having arrived at this moment, the Tulare, California, native credits MTV with fueling the passion that earned him the spot — an enthusiasm that stretches back nearly a decade before anyone had ever heard of a Twitter account.

"A big reason why MTV has been such a big part of my life is because it became my one-stop shop for everything pop music/culture. 'TRL' was part of my daily routine," he told MTV News during a tour of the town where he grew up.
Jose moved away from Los Angeles to Tulare when he was very young and always yearned to go back. After years of saving his lunch money to buy Ricky Martin CDs and waiting by the radio with a cassette tape ready to record his favorite songs, he finally returned to his birthplace as a student at UCLA.
"Moving to L.A. was so freeing! Pop music and pop culture everywhere! I felt like a little kid in a candy store. So many opportunities came my way as well. From free concerts to becoming a radio DJ, I did it all in L.A.," he says.
With the help of ZYNC from American Express, MTV chose Jose as one of the 20 social-media enthusiasts in the running for a job as MTV's very first TJ. Over the last six weeks, the candidates took part in challenges that tested everything from their skills at growing their Twitter followers to their ability to break an unsigned band.
Jose's pop-culture inspiration shone through during the MTV TJ challenges, and he'll be harnessing it when all five candidates face off during the live finale in New York City, on Sunday, August 8 on MTV and MTV.com.
The winner of the MTV TJ search will be chosen by you, so tune in to MTV or MTV.com on August 8 at 10 p.m. ET to vote for your favorite candidate!

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham always look like they just stepped off a magazine cover. The ever-stylish couple was spotted as they headed to a private birthday party in London for Kelly Hoppens, a famous interior designer (who also used to be married to Sienna Miller's father).
Also in attendance at the soiree were Victoria's "Spicegirl" group mate Emma Bunton and 'Hell's Kitchen' star Gordon Ramsay .
Victoria looks amazing, as always. I love this color on her. She wears black and neutral colors so often, it's great to see a splash of color now and then. She has such great taste - especially in men. ;)

'Thor' Star Says Vikings' 'Fearlessness' Inspired His Portrayal

'He does reckless sort of things but his heart is in the right place,' Chris Hemsworth tells MTV News of his Marvel character.By Kara Warner

Chris Hemsworth

Photo: MTV News

Chris Hemsworth is no stranger to TV and film — he appeared in last summer's mega-hit "Star Trek" — but in tackling the starring role in Marvel's 2011 superhero film "Thor," the 26-year-old enters a whole new category of leading man. When MTV News caught up with Hemsworth, he revealed that "Thor" director Kenneth Branagh had helped in his superhero education by giving him some pre-shoot homework.

"I read so many different books and comic books," Hemsworth told us at San Diego Comic-Con. "Ken, when I got the part, gave me a stack of things and said, 'Look, read what you want, I'm not going to test you at the end of it.' "
Hemsworth revealed that Branagh told him not to stress too much about boning up on Thor's entire history, but to use the books as tools for whatever inspiration he might gain, be it a stance, costume, etc. "He said, 'If you can get something from it, great, it might only be one look.' "
The actor said he found the most useful information in books about Norse mythology, specifically those that referenced Vikings and their belief systems and ideals regarding fate and death. Hemsworth cited the Vikings' attitude toward destiny as one quality he drew from in preparing to play the God of Thunder.
"Their fatalistic attitude, how everything was preordained: the day of their death, the way they're going to die has already been fated long ago," he explained. "They live with this fearlessness, which for me, was a lot of the angle I came at Thor with," Hemsworth revealed. "He does reckless sort of things but his heart is in the right place. He believes it's right. He's not just a madman."

Michael Jackson Fans Pay Tribute Outside Forest Lawn Cemetery

'He was like my brother, a family member,' one fan says.By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Kelly Marino

Michael Jackson

Photo: KMazur/ WireImage

Michael Jackson was laid to rest at Forest Lawn cemetery September 3. Nine months later, on the one-year anniversary of his death, fans gathered outside the Los Angeles cemetery Friday (June 25) to pay tribute to the fallen pop star and to share recollections of their favorite MJ moments from a career that spanned five decades.

"My first memory, I was about 7 years old. This was the time when Bad came out, and I watched the video performance of it, and from that point, I was almost obsessed with him," Eboni Butler told MTV News. "I even have him tattooed on my leg."
Tallora DiGirolami flew in from Adelaide, Australia, for the occasion and proudly displayed her national flag as she stood outside Forest Lawn. "I started this flag because I had so many friends and fans that couldn't make it," she said. "And we started getting to talking and I said, 'Right, I've got a flag. Do you want to sign it? Do you want to be part of the memorial?' "
The crowd was smaller than the ones that gathered in the days and weeks following Jackson's death, but the sentiments of his fans were no less impassioned. "He means a lot to me," Brian Lopez said. "He was like my brother, a family member. When I heard he died, I didn't eat for weeks, I didn't sleep for weeks, I didn't go out for weeks. ... It's been a very sad loss for me."
Confronted with such a loss, his fans continued to recall memories of the King of Pop. "I saw Michael once in Memphis when he was married to Lisa Marie and they had the Elvis tribute," Sheila Guerrero recalled. "I was crying so bad. He just stopped and came back and told me not to cry. That moment is priceless for me. I thank God for that moment."
Said Jonah Sevilla: "He loved the world, and he wanted it to be a better place because of all the bad things that were happening."
MTV will be remembering the life and music of Michael Jackson all weekend. Don't miss the one-hour special "Michael Jackson's Influence on Music," airing tonight at 6:30 p.m. on MTV.

'Avengers' Director Is 'The Guy For The Job,' Chris Evans Says

'It seems like he knows the world incredibly well,' the actor tells MTV News of Joss Whedon during Comic-Con.By Terri Schwartz

SAN DIEGO — Chris Evans was already at San Diego Comic-Con to promote his highly anticipated Marvel film "Captain America," but the actor made a big splash when he appeared onstage at the studio's Saturday panel, along with the full cast lineup of "The Avengers."

Evans took the stage alongside director Joss Whedon and fellow castmembers Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johannson, Clark Gregg, Chris Hemsworth and newcomers Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner. And earlier Saturday, during the MTV News live stream, Evans talked about how excited he was to work with Whedon on the 2012 culmination of the stand-alone Marvel superhero films.
"It seems like he knows the world incredibly well. It seems like this world respects him back. It seems like he's the guy for the job," Evans said of the director. "He did a pass on the 'Captain America' script, and it was just phenomenal. All the little tweaks he made, he really knows storytelling; he really knows dialogue and script writing, and that's always a comforting thing."
There are still two films to be released — "Thor" and "Captain America" — before "The Avengers" hits theaters, and Evans said his attention is focused on his own film for now. He said he's already met Downey Jr. and Whedon to talk about the film, but there is still much work to be done on "Avengers," including the all-important script.
The potential success of bringing together these Marvel characters in one giant film could influence how comic book films are made going forward, a sentiment that was discussed during the Warner Bros. panel for "Green Lantern," which raised the possibility of a possible DC universe equivalent. Bringing together all of the various Marvel characters — Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Nick Fury and Hawkeye — in one film will be a challenge for Whedon, one Evans said he's eager to see the helmer take on.
"We'll see how they're going to write it," Evans said. "I'm not quite sure what Joss has in mind, but I'm sure they'll find a way to make everyone kind of blend and have a role to play. I don't think anyone's going to be carrying the load."

New Led Zeppelin On The Way? Jason Bonham Hints At 'Jam' Sessions With Jimmy Page -- But Not Robert Plant

Drummer admits he doesn't know what will come of 'new material.'By Chris Harris

Jason Bonham

Photo: Larry Marano/ Getty Images

On Friday morning, mere hours before he was due to take the stage with classic rockers Foreigner at Detroit's GM Renaissance Center, drummer Jason Bonham — the son of late Led Zeppelin kitman John Bonham — told Jim Johnson and Lynne Woodison of local rock station 94.7 WCSX that he'd be an ex-member of Foreigner as of September 1. But that's not the only thing he said.
Much to the delight of Led Zeppelin fans everywhere, Bonham revealed that he's been meeting up with Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones in recent months and that they've been "trying to do some new material and writing."
It was the first time since Led Zeppelin announced they would re-form for a single performance (which happened late last year at London's O2 Arena, in honor of the late Ahmet Ertegün, who signed the band to Atlantic Records in 1969) that anyone connected to the band has confirmed publicly that new music could be on the horizon for the iconic rockers. While the bandmembers have stopped short of definitively ruling out such a reunion, singer Robert Plant insisted in the wake of last year's show that he intended to focus on promoting and touring behind his critically lauded album with bluegrass artist Alison Krauss, Raising Sand.
Not that Bonham knows what — if anything — will happen with the new material he's been working on with Page (who collaborated with pop singer Leona Lewis on an uneven version of Zep's "Whole Lotta Love" at the Olympic closing ceremonies in Beijing on Sunday night) and Jones. He said he just shows up and takes his seat behind the kit.
"I've been over [to England] a couple of times," Bonham said. "I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do ... some new material and some writing. I don't know what it will be, but it will be something. At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material. When I get there, I never ask any questions. If I get a phone call to go and play, I enjoy every moment of it. Whatever it ends up as, to ever get a chance to jam with two people like that, it is a phenomenal thing for me. It's my life. It's what I've dreamed about doing."
He said it's still too early to tell what will become of these "jam" sessions, but admitted that the "possibility of doing something is in the cards. I really felt it was in the cards from the moment we walked offstage at the O2." Bonham also explained that, before there could be a Led Zep LP, "lots of politics [would need to] get ironed out," but added that recording with Zep is "something I've always wanted to do."
Bonham noticeably didn't mention frontman Plant's name during the discussion. A spokesperson for Page's management had no comment on the matter, and a spokesperson for Jones' management could not be reached by press time.

Eminem, Alicia Keys, Usher Join BET Awards Lineup

A Michael Jackson tribute is also confirmed for the awards show, airing live June 27.By Mawuse Ziegbe

Eminem, Usher, Alicia Keys and T-Pain have been added to the performance lineup of the BET Awards '10, going down on June 27 in Los Angeles. The hitmakers will join a star-studded bill that includes previously announced performers Kanye West, Drake, T.I., Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Ludacris.
A BET rep also confirmed that a Michael Jackson tribute is slated for this year's show, hosted by rapper/actor Queen Latifah. The 2009 event became an impromptu MJ homage after the icon died just days before the awards show aired. Host Jamie Foxx memorably Moonwalked and spoofed Jackson's "Beat It," and stars like Ne-Yo, Ciara and Keri Hilson paid homage to the icon during their performances.
Rolling Stone reported on Thursday (June 17) that BET insiders confirmed viewers can expect a performance of the monster collaboration "All I Do Is Win," featuring DJ Khaled, T-Pain, Ludacris and Rick Ross. The magazine also teased that the "All I Do Is Win" collabo is set to feature a special guest.
Jay-Z leads this year's BET Awards nominations with five nods, including Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Video of the Year for both "Empire State of Mind" and "Run This Town" off his hit The Blueprint 3. Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Drake also picked up multiple noms, with Mrs. Carter and the soon-to-be Mrs. Swizz Beatz both vying for the Best Female R&B Artist trophy and Drake competing with Hov for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. Teen sensation Justin Bieber also received a nod for Best New Artist.
Soul singer John Legend will be honored with the Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic work while the legendary Prince will also be celebrated: The Purple One will receive the ceremony's Lifetime Achievement Award. This year's show, to be broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in L.A., will mark the 10th anniversary of the BET Awards.

Jeff Bridges: 'Big Lebowski' Sequel Would Be A 'Wonderful Surprise'

Bridges' forthcoming flick 'True Grit' reunites him with Joel and Ethan Coen, who helmed the cult classic.By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

SAN DIEGO — How can Jeff Bridges get in a room with the
Coen Brothers and not mention "The Big Lebowski"? When the "Tron
Legacy" star came by the MTV / MySpace Watchtower at San Diego
Comic-Con and talk turned to the "True Grit" movie that's reuniting
him with the "Lebowski" helmers, MTV News couldn't resist asking the
Dude about the possibility of a sequel to the 1998 cult classic.
"We talked about it occasionally [while making 'True Grit'], but no
plans man, no plans," Bridges said, to much disappointment around the
room. "No, no, no, I don't think it's gonna happen." But then, with a
sly grin, Bridges reopened the door ever so slightly: "But if it
happens — what a wonderful surprise!"

Britney Spears Opens Up About Her Sons In Cosmo

Spears says she will lock her sons in their rooms if they decide to go into show business.By Jocelyn Vena

Chris Brown's BET Awards MJ Tribute Was 'Spectacular,' Jermaine Jackson Says

'He deserves to perform, because it's healing for him,' Michael Jackson's brother tells 'Extra.'By Gil Kaufman

Chris Brown performs during the 2010 BET Awards on Sunday

Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images

Chris Brown wasn't the only one getting misty-eyed at Sunday night's BET Awards during his tribute to Michael Jackson. The King of Pop's older brother, Jermaine, told "Extra" that he was also overcome with emotion during the dance routine, in which Brown paid homage to some of MJ's most famous moves and then attempted to sing "Man in the Mirror" before being overcome with emotion and weeping onstage.

"To see [Chris'] performance, it was very emotional for me, because it was an acceptance from his fans from what has happened to him and also paying tribute to my brother," Jermaine said. "It was just a spectacular moment."
Fans and critics have been split on the performance, which some saw as the bursting of an emotional dam for the singer, making his first major public appearance since he pleaded guilty to felony assault in his assault of former girlfriend Rihanna last June. Others speculated that Brown may have manufactured the tears to gain sympathy from fans who abandoned him in the wake of the Rihanna attack.
Jermaine Jackson said he thought Brown — a longtime devotee of Michael's and, at one point, considered a modern heir to the R&B throne — had every right to pay homage to his brother. "He deserves to perform, because it's healing for him," Jermaine said. "How can he learn from his mistakes if you don't give him a chance? He needs that. I love Rihanna, and I'm not supporting what he did, but I support him [as a singer] 100 percent. ... I'm just very emotional just knowing what has happened. Chris Brown is a human being, and we all make mistakes. We can't condemn him for what has happened. We hope he has learned from it."
Brown hasn't made any public statements since the BET performance, but on Monday, he did tweet, "My fans are my world," a follow-up to a message earlier in the day when he wrote, "I Love you ... (ever single one of #teambreezy)."
What did you think of Chris Brown's emotional performance? Let us know in the comments.

Adam Lambert's 'Whole Lotta Love': The Story Behind The Cover

Glam rocker tackled the legendary 1970 Led Zeppelin song for 'American Idol' rock night.By Gil Kaufman

Adam Lambert performs "Whole Lotta Love" on "American Idol" on Tuesday

Imagine a freight train speeding toward you at midnight. Or a rockslide barreling down a hill as you try to outrace it. That's the feeling of the ominous, chugging Jimmy Page riff that kicks off Led Zeppelin's 1970 Stonehenge of rock, "Whole Lotta Love." And that's before singer Robert Plant leans into one of the nastiest, ecstatic rock screams this side of the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."
That's the song Adam Lambert chose to sing on "American Idol" rock night Tuesday (May 5), and, needless to say, it was a challenge that the eyeliner-loving Los Angeles stage veteran was more than up for, hitting a series of high notes and rock screams that would have made Plant proud. It was a risky maneuver that paid off for Lambert, who chose a tune that came in at #75 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004.

The legendary British rock act recorded the tribute to Chicago blues icon Willie Dixon during their second U.S. tour after working it out in their live show, including it on their 1969 classic album Led Zeppelin II. Like many of the songs Zeppelin performed early in their career, "Love" was a blues standard turned on its head with a heavy dose of crunching psychedelic guitar and thundering drums, courtesy of late drummer John Bonham. The song was based on a 1962 tune by another blues forefather, Muddy Waters, called "You Need Love," which was penned by Dixon.
For Zeppelin's version, Plant customized the lyrics by adding some lyrical quotes from a few other songs Dixon wrote for Howlin' Wolf, "Back Door Man" and "Shake For Me," nailing the tricky vocal in a single take. It was also inspired by 1966's "You Need Loving" from the British rock group the Small Faces, for whom Zeppelin had great affection, but they also did not credit Dixon for his part in writing the original lyrics. The song became Zeppelin's first U.S. single and their only U.S. top 10 hit. Though their manager would not let them release singles in the U.K. because he thought it cannibalized album sales, the song was finally released as the band's only British single in 1997.
Dixon sued Zeppelin over the song in 1985, claiming it borrowed too heavily from his "You Need Love," and Zeppelin reached an agreement with him, with Dixon using the money he received to set up a program that provided musical instruments for schools. A cornerstone of heavy rock, the tune -- which was the theme song for the long-running British countdown show "Top of the Pops" in the 1970s and '80s -- has been covered by dozens of artists over the years, from Tina Turner and Ben Harper to Prince, Slash, Leona Lewis, Train's Pat Monahan, the London Symphony Orchestra and Jane's Addiction.

Britney Spears' Purported Demo Of Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' Leaks

Gaga allegedly wrote song for Spears, but track's authenticity is in doubt.By Gil Kaufman

Britney Spears

Photo: Kevin Mazur/Wire Images

According to rumors, before recording "Telephone" herself and making its WTF-tastic video with Beyoncé, a pre-fame Lady Gaga wrote the song for Britney Spears. Though Britney never recorded a finished version of the song — as far as we know — a purported demo leaked over the weekend in which Spears takes a swing at the tune.
If Britney Spears Were In The 'Telephone' Video
At press time MTV News had not received responses from either camp about the authenticity of the leaked demo, which first popped up on the site ileaks.com. The track is remarkably similar to the finished version, with Britney singing in the same stuttered, AutoTuned voice as Gaga on the finished product. At points during the chorus, Britney's multi-tracked vocals take on a high, Madonna-esque tone.
The track has spare instrumentation, with gently plucked strings in the intro that are overtaken by the same driving beat and swirling synths as the finished recording in Gaga's The Fame Monster. The busy dial tones and the "not in service" message at the end are also in place, but in general, the demo lacks the punch of Gaga's version.
Though Spears has not weighed in on the controversy, one of the singer's fan sites, World of Britney, has thrown water on the alleged demo rumors. "There was almost no AutoTune in the actual song," World of Britney tweeted on Sunday, with several adamant follow-ups. "It was raw vocals and that isn't the song. Those of you who have ears can hear it's not B."
Do you think it's Britney on the demo? How does it compare to the finished Gaga product? Share your theories and reviews in the comments below.

SAN DIEGO — Comic-Con coverage continued Friday (July 23) as the MTV News team returned to the scene to cover the hottest panels and speak with the biggest celebs. Again, one of the major highlights was our live-stream broadcast with MySpace, during which we hosted fantastic guests from the casts of "Tron Legacy" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World."

Kicking off the show were Garrett Hedlund, Jeff Bridges and Joseph Kosinski, who — despite this being their third appearance at Comic-Con — are still very enthusiastic about "Tron Legacy" and joked that they would have more footage to bring at the next Con, even though the movie opens this year. Hedlund mentioned that one highlight for him was all the training he did to prepare for the role and that he ended up getting his motorcycle license to pilot the cycles involved in filming. Castmember Michael Sheen, who likely garnered the most laughs of the show, joked that he felt like RuPaul in the 6-inch platform shoes his eccentric character wears.
Shortly after, the "Scott Pilgrim" gang descended on the broadcast, during which director Edgar Wright outed his star Michael Cera for wearing a costume/disguise on the convention floor the night before.
"As some actors do go on the floor with a mask on, Michael put a mask on and lined up for his own 'Scott Pilgrim' Experience [in which fans could design their own 'Pilgrim'-themed T-shirts] in disguise," Wright said, adding that Cera designed his own shirt.
Cera's big disguise was apparently a "fierce-looking" gorilla mask, one that was so cool that other people in line kept coming up to him and asking for pictures while he was waiting on the street.
"My body language got really weird, because I'd picture whoever this guy is wearing this mask. When people would come up to me and start asking for pictures, I'd go like this," Cera said, leaning off to the side awkwardly. "I had a really weird voice under there too. It was kind of creeping people out, I think."
Cera's co-star Anna Kendrick later revealed that she, too, had traveled the convention floor in a mask, but she wouldn't reveal what kind of mask she wore.
Make sure to check back Saturday at 6 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT for our two-hour show, during which we will have live interviews with the stars from "Thor" and "Captain America," as well as a visit from "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige. The show will stream simultaneously on MySpace and MTV's homepage, and viewers can take part in the conversations firsthand and in real time by posting comments and questions for the chance to have their favorite celebrities answer live.

Chris Brown's BET Awards MJ Tribute Was 'Spectacular,' Jermaine Jackson Says

'He deserves to perform, because it's healing for him,' Michael Jackson's brother tells 'Extra.'By Gil Kaufman

'Twilight' And 'Priest' Only Have Vampires In Common, Cam Gigandet Says

'It's not like a 'vampire film'; there's so much more to it,' 'Priest' co-star Karl Urban tells MTV News at Comic-Con.By Kara Warner

SAN DIEGO — Ever since he lit up the screen as delightfully devious "Twilight" villain James, Cam Gigandet's career has been on the rise. When MTV News caught up with him during Comic-Con on Friday (July 23), we asked about his character in the upcoming "Priest" — which is based on the celebrated comic book series — and, since the film coincidentally involves vampires, if he had any hesitation in taking on the part.

"I play Sheriff Hicks," he said. "I'm the sheriff of a small town where my girlfriend gets kidnapped by this pack of vampires, so I enlist Paul Bettany's, Priest's, help, and we are on the road to find and rescue her."
Gigandet said that, although there are vampires involved in the movie, fans expecting the romantic "Twilight"-style vamps will be in for a shock.
"It's very, very different from 'Twilight,' " he said. "The similarities kind of end with what they're called, which is vampires."
Gigandet said the world of "Priest," directed by Scott Charles Stewart, is also entirely different. "The world Scott created is kind of unlike any other," he said. "Sometimes it was hard to visualize what he had in his mind, but I've seen clips, and its unbelievable. ... Just to work with all of these people, they're such an amazing cast. I didn't have any doubts [about taking on another vampire-related role]."
Gigandet's co-star, "Star Trek" star Karl Urban, said he's never seen a movie like this. "This is a post-apocalyptic vampire western," he said. "The emphasis isn't heavily on the fact — it's not like a 'vampire film'; there's so much more to it."
As far as what "Twilight" fans can expect to see, and fans of the original comic book, Gigandet and his co-stars said there is something for everyone in the film, because it is emotional and character-driven.
"[There are] so many different levels, and so many people are doing things that sacrifice for all sorts of love," Gigandet said. "It's not just one set love story. There are so many different levels going on."
"Priest" is set to open in May 2011.
