The lady with 400 kimonos

If kimono collector, marimba player
and essayist Mutsumi Tsuuzaki ever says she has nothing to wear, don't believe her. Kimono literally means "things to wear" in Japanese, and she has 400, accumulated over the past 15 years. Early 20th Century inspiration Kyoto-born Tsuuzaki, who started playing
the marimba at the age of five, says her interest in the kimono was sparked in
1995 when she found one featuring a modern motif, left behind by
her aunt who was born in the Taishou era (1912-1926).
