Rain showers and peacocks: Glamping in Asia

Three Camel Lodge, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia The Three Camel Lodge in Mongolia has 20 yurts decked out with home comforts deep in the harsh Gobi desert. 

Yurts are built in accordance to Mongolian Buddhist architecture and don?t contain a single nail. Each yurt comes with a wood stove, king-sized beds and toilets.

To keep the lodge eco-friendly, electricity is generated by wind and solar power and organic waste is used by local farms as fertilizer. The lodge cuts electricity from 11 p.m. onwards to conserve energy, but guests are usually too rapt in stargazing to mind.read more
